Following are some of the solutions conceptualized, built and deployed by my teams. At the time of my exit from Virtusa in March 2023, they were being used across 15,000+ associates globally and was driving over $100m+ of sales pipeline/quarter. Some of these solutions were also deployed at fortune 500 clients.
My involvement started with identifying the intersection of industry trends + client demands with our corporate strategy and direction, working with my teams and other stakeholders to solution and develop, successfully incorporate into sales and/or delivery, manage product roadmap, and monitor/report on the business outcomes.
Agile Software Engineering

SDLC Intelligence
Measures and provides actionable real-time intelligence to drive SDLC productivity (work effort, coding output and quality). Engages teams through gamification and individual/team level next-best-actions. Used across 15,000+ associates and deployed among some of the top 5 largest banks in the US.
Smart ALM
SmartALM is a set of JIRA plugins that facilitates optimized agile delivery by eliminating communication, synchronization and clarity issues in a globally distributed model. Reduced Requirements clarity issues by 40%.
Low-Code Digital Test Automation
Virtusa's low-code Digital Test Automaton platform (Accello DTA) provides a low-cost and effective alternative to automate the testing of end to end user- journeys across channels and APIs. Reduced cost of automation by 50% compared to traditional scripting approach.
Smart Operations and Cloud Transformation
Most enterprises have vast untapped potential to increase efficiencies and reduce compliance and security risks by leveraging smart automation. These tools help in increasing efficiencies of operations as well as accelerating delivery and reducing risks of cloud transformation.
Robotics Process Automation
Virtusa's Robotic Process Automation platform (Accello RPA) eliminates the ROI drag of using expensive and proprietary commercial solutions and allows organizations to extend the platform to meet their needs. Used to rapidly automate both internal and client operational and IT processes.
Process Assessment and Auto-Capture
AIRIS combines process automation suitability assessment together with the automated capture of screen and process flows for operational and IT automation, eliminating two of the biggest challenges to ROI of RPA engagements. It also serves as a persistent repository of process knowledge across the enterprise.
PolyCloud Intelligence
PolyCloud intelligence dashboard gathers data from multiple CSPs as well as tools such as Qualys, Dome9 etc. and provides a unified dashboard of costs, security compliances, performance etc. Engages cloud cost centers across the organization with real-time intelligence and predictive alerting to reduce risks and costs of moving to the cloud.
Terraform Studio
Terraform Studio is a VSCode plugin that provides an intuitive interface and standardizes terraform engineering with a pre-packaged combination of best practices and tooling. Helps organizations reduce time to rampup and scale Terraform skills and improve productivity and quality.
Cloud Data Migration Studio
Cloud Data Migration Studio is a VS Code plugin that provides a standardized approach and consistent developer experience to analyze, transform, migrate and test across various source and target data combinations. Helps manage and scale large scale migration projects and a plugin architecture that facilitates contributions by data specialists.
CSR
Encouraged my teams to lead major Tech-CSR initiatives some of which were done in collaboration with industry partners, universities and competitors.
During the Asian Tsunami, we played a key role in contributing to the Sahana Disaster Management Project. Virtusa was recognized as a finalist for the U.S. Secretary of State's prestigious Award for Corporate Excellence (ACE).
We contributed Akura, the #1 Open Source School Management System, first to schools in Sri Lanka and then to the world.
When the 30 year conflict in Sri Lanka ended, we contributed a Rehabilitation Management System to the Sri Lanka Army, to expedite the process of rehabilitating and re-integrating ex-combatants to society.
When the Pandemic ravaged India in 2021, my team worked with HR to build and launch a mobile application within a week, to give our teams easy access to vital location centric information and be connected.
